About Burgaw, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
The historic town of Burgaw is located in Pender County, North Carolina, approximately twenty-five miles north of the city of Wilmington. With the arrival of the Wilmington & Raleigh Railroad in 1836, Burgaw morphed almost overnight from a small trading post situated on the banks of Burgaw Creek to a thriving railroad town that served as a lifeline to the Confederacy during the Civil War. Today, historic Burgaw is home to a population of approximately 4,000 residents who take great pride in the history and heritage of their town.
Bisected by Interstate 40, NC Highway 53, and U.S. Highway 117, Burgaw is just twenty minutes from the considerable amenities of downtown Wilmington, ILM International Airport, and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Burgaw’s downtown district is home to a mix of small retail and professional businesses, coffeehouses, and restaurants, the majority of which are located in buildings that have been in place since the turn of the century.
The city hosts the annual North Carolina Blueberry Festival, a premier event that celebrates the historic, economic, and cultural import of blueberries to North Carolina, drawing more than 30,000 visitors to the area each year.
Burgaw’s rich history, scenic vistas, and beautiful seasonal weather make it a great place to live or visit anytime during the year!
